*** IDAHO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE REPORTING ***
FYI, controlled substance reporting is no longer received by Idaho Board of
Pharmacy. As of the 28 FEBRUARY 2014, this report is to be transmitted to
Appriss’ “PMP Clearinghouse”.

Any transmissions since that date have very likely FAILED.

Please call Appriss to get the correct URL/IP and a new password. After
you have these items, FSI Customer Support can assist with remainder of
this configuration.

SOFTWARE CHANGES INCLUDED IN THIS UPDATE:

15 Jun 14 software changes

1. BOARD AND CARE LASER FORMS – WHOLESALER PACK SIZE
Drug Item ’33. Name, Strength, Form, Mfg Items’ can now print the
wholesaler pack quantity using variant (‘Var’) set to ‘W’.

2. WYOMING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE REPORTING
This program has been changed to configure ASAP version 4.1.

3. COMPOUND DRUG SELECTION BY SELECTED INGREDIENTS
It is now possible to select a drug compound record by selecting
ingredients that are used in the compound.

When prompted for drug selection, enter ‘>’ followed by an INGREDIENT that
is to be found in the desired compound formula. A ‘>’ followed by <Enter>
will also cause selection by ingredient.

After the ingredient is selected, the operator can enter OPTIONAL Quantity
and Unit of Measure.

If another ingredient is to be specified, enter it at the ‘Ingredient [ ]’
field. Up to SIX ingredients may be specified.

If an ingredient is to be modified, press the function key (<Fx>)
associated with that ingredient. The ingredient’s Quantity and/or Unit may
be changed or <blanked>.

To DELETE a specified ingredient, press the associated function key (for
example: <F2> for the first ingredient) and enter ‘DEL’ in the Quantity
field.

When the desired number of ingredients have been entered, an optional
‘FORM’ (such as: LOZ, CRM, CAP, SUP, etc.) may be entered, then press <F8>
to generate a list of drug compound formulas that contain the specified
ingredients, matching the specified Quantities and Units (if entered) and
optional ‘FORM’.

The following ‘print screen’ shows an example of two specified ingredients
and a list of 4 formulas that contain these two ingredients:

SEARCH FOR FORMULA WITH SPECIFIED INGREDIENTS
Ingredients NDC Quantity Unit
F2 GELATIN 650MG CAP 00904007860 any any
F3 ESTRIOL 1gm POW 49452279406 any any

Ingredient [ESTRI ] Edit/Delete F2 ,F3
F8 Find Matching Formulas w/ FORM [CAP ]
#Ing
1.estrio ESTRIOL/ESTRONE cp 2.5mg CAP 6
2.estrio ESTRIOL/ESTRONE cp 2.5mg CAP 6
3.estri2 ESTRIOL/ESTRONE cp 5.0mg CAP 6
4.estri5 ESTRIOL/ESTRONE cp 5.0mg CAP 5
Re-enter; 1-4:Select One

If there are MORE than 9 matches, press the ‘M’ key to display the next
group of matching drugs (that have formula records).

Pressing ‘R’ (Re-enter) will return to the ‘Ingredient’ input mode. From
there, more ingredients can be entered or previously specified ingredients
can be editted/deleted.

If the desired drug is listed on the screen, press the associated number
key (1-9) to select it.

NOTE: The ‘#Ing’ on the right side of the screen shows the number of
ingredients linked to the listed drug compound formula record.

4. DRUG INVENTORY TRANSACTION REPORTS
Menu item ‘3. General Inventory Transaction Reports’ has two new
selections:
Print Ending/Accumulated Qty/Value
‘Y’ Yes or
‘N’ No
Setting this selection to ‘Y’ will print quantity used within the specified
date range (‘accumulated’) and $ value (acquistion cost multiplied by
quantity). The current quantity and value (‘end’) will also be printed.

NOT Used Since End Date
‘Y’ print any drugs not used regardless of $ value
‘N’ (or <blank>) do not check for NOT Used drugs
‘n’ print only negative $ value drugs
‘p’ print only positive $ value drugs
This function tests if a drug item has NOT been used as specified in the
Ending Date. (Starting Date is ignored). Ending quantity and $ value will
be printed.

5. PATIENT SEARCH BY DOB – ‘NEW’ %MMDDYY METHOD
The search by patient Date-Of-Birth using the ‘<LastName>!<mmddyy>’ format
is actually an alphabet search that is qualified by the DOB specified.
Therefore, if a ‘LastName’ or partial ‘LastName’ is not included the
program searches ALL PATIENTS, starting at ‘A’ and can require a long time.
Just by including the first character of the last name can improve the
speed by a factor of 20 or more.

IF it is impractical to specify even one character of the last name, a NEW
search type is available:
%B-Date(MMDDYY)
For example:
%021575
would give a list of all patients whose DOB is 15 February 1975. It will
not be in alphabetical order as is the ‘!mmddyy’ search method. Rather, it
will display the most recently added patients first. This will be a VERY
fast search by DOB. IF you desire an alphabet order, use the ‘!’ method
with a partial last name.

6. CHECK FOR UPDATES, ETC. LIMITED BETWEEN 10:00AM – 4:00PM
Check for updates (FSI, wholesaler, SureScript) and other ‘once-a-day’
functions is now limited between the hours of 10:00AM to 4:00PM. This is
done to reduce early morning calls to FSI about some notifications that
could have waited until normal business hours.

7. ‘NEW’ CMS 1500 PRINT FORM
Printed claim form ’39’ has been created for the (02-12) FORM 1500.
Also, a programable format, ‘cms1500x’ is included with this update.

Thank you, and have a nice day.
