Jan 15, 2015 Update Notes

Update notes for Jan 15, 2015

SOFTWARE CHANGES INCLUDED IN THIS UPDATE:

15 Jan 15 S/W Changes

P.O.S. SYSTEM

1. RE-PRINT RECEIPT WITH ‘E-SIGNATURE’
Now, on STAR printers, a receipt re-print will also print a captured
electronic signature if configured.

PHARMACY SYSTEM

1. PICK UP RELATIONSHIP TYPE ‘FP’ (FOSTER PARENT)
Pick up relationship for ‘foster parent’, ‘FP’ has been added.

2. LASER LABELS
– DRUG FORM INHIBIT: Drug item ‘3. Name Strength Form’ will NOT print the
drug form (TAB, CAP, SUS, etc) if the ‘Variant’ field is set to ‘f’
(noform).

– PRINT ‘Generic For’ (instead of ‘Gen. For’) on label: In Software
Options, (key strokes from main menu: 3 1 N 1), Page 5, Label Functions,
set the ‘Trade Name on Gen. Rx Label’ to ‘G’ to print ‘Generic For’ before
the trade name. FYI, ‘S’ will print ‘Substituted For’ and ‘E’ will print
‘Generic Equivalent For’. ‘Y’ will cause printing of ‘Gen. For’.

3. PROMPT FOR HIPAA/’NO SAFETY CAP’ IN PATHWAY
Setting the Software Option (Page 6) ‘Require HIPAA/NSC Sign in Pathway’ to
‘Y’ will prompt the operator for a ‘HIPAA Signature’ if the patient does
not have a valid HIPAA signature recorded AND prompt for a ‘No Safety Cap
Signature’ if the patient has this indicator set to ‘Y’ AND there is no
safety cap signature recorded.

Setting this option to ‘N’ will NOT prompt for a HIPAA signature but WILL
prompt for a ‘No Safety Cap’ (NSC) signature if needed.

Setting this option to ‘S’ will NOT prompt the operator for a ‘No Safety
Cap Signature’ BUT WILL prompt for a HIPAA signature if needed.

If this option is set to ‘B’, will INHIBIT checking of BOTH HIPAA AND No
Safety Cap signatures.

(We realize this is kind of convoluted logic, but we did not want to do a
data conversion to change existing customer settings to a better logic
scheme.)

4. LARGE DISPLAY (132×42) CONFIGURATION
Individual workstations may be configured to be either ‘NORMAL’ display (80
characters wide by 24 rows) or ‘LARGE’ (132 characters by 42 rows) by
setting the new, “Use ‘132 x 42’ Format” to “Y” in ‘Terminal Map
Maintenance’. (Key strokes from main menu: 3 1 N 5 1).

ALL workstations may be set to use the LARGE format by setting the same
option in “Multi-Site Map” to “Y”. (Key strokes from main menu: 3 1 N 6).

IF the “Multi-Site Map” option is set to “Y”, individual workstations may
be set to ‘NORMAL’ (80 x 24) by setting this option to “N’ in ‘Terminal Map
Maintenance’ (see above).

Thank you, and have a nice day.
