May 15, 2015 Update Notes

SOFTWARE CHANGES INCLUDED IN THIS UPDATE:

'WIDE' FORMAT (132x42) SOFTWARE CHANGES

1. BOARD & CARE FORMS - BI-WEEKLY QUANTITY
Variant 'w' (lower case 'W") has been added to Script Items, '25. Dispensed
Quantity'. This is a calculation = Dispensed_Quantity / Days_Supply * 14.

2. DRUG ITEM ADDITIONS
This function now uses the popular, 'Drug Information' systems to retrieve
most drug items. The only required item is the NDC.

The operator enters the NDC and presses <Enter>. The system attempts to
retrieve information. If successful, 'Drug Record Amendments' is
displayed, allowing the operator to view/alter/add any items.

IF the item to be added is known to NOT EXIST on the Drug Information
system, the operator may press <F3> to perform a 'Manual Add' as was
previously done.

This feature of adding drug items using 'Drug Information' may be disabled
by setting 'Software Option - Page 11 - Drug Function - 'Use Old Drug
Additions Method' to 'Y'.

3. LASER/ZEBRA LABEL - 'NO ROBOT' VARIANT
In laser label maintenance, Drug Item, '39. #Qty Name Strength Form
Mfg(3D)', can now NOT DISPLAY '(R)' after this text indicating a ROBOT
loaded drug item if the Variant is set to 'N'.

This also applies to ZEBRA labels, Drug Item 19.

Other drug quantity items continue to add the '(R)' on robot loaded items
("Disp'nsg Robot Location" = <any number>)

4. LOG OF SCRIPTS 'PROGRESS INDICATOR'
The Log of Scripts program previously gave an indication of print progress
by displaying across the monitor the date that was being printed.

Now, this indication is in the 'message line' at the bottom, left-hand side
of the monitor.

5. 'REFILL AS IS' - 'ONE BUTTON' REFILLING
A new refilling function, 'REFILL AS IS' (positioned under the 'Enter Your
Choice' prompt) will refill a script without stopping (unless there are
contraindications or online reject). Even the label will be printed!

This function can be invoked by 'clicking' the 'REFILL AS IS' button (if
you are using a Windows workstation and FSI 'Java Client'). The <Shift F5>
function key will also invoke this function.

This function precedes our (currently in test at a pharmacy customer) 'Auto
Refill' function which creates a list of refillable scripts and then
refills them without operator intervention. Any rejects/contraindicated
refills can be listed/processed manually.

6. BLINK SCRIPT NOTE (40 Character)
The 40 Character ('D. Edit Short Script Note') can be caused to blink if
the new Software Option - Page 3 - 'Blink Script Note' is set to 'Y'.

This will cause any of these notes to BLINK. If an individual note is
wanted to BLINK, precede and end the note with '!'s. (Example: "!this is a
really important note!).

7. RX STATUS - 'OVERHAUL'
Previously, the 'Rx STATUS:' elements were displayed one after another
without regard to importance. Now, most elements will display in the same
place in the Status area below the 'Rx STATUS' line.

Status items: Deleted ('Deltd'), Filled by Dispensing Robot ('FBDR'), Used
to Create new ('UTCN'), Tray, and the script note (not the 40 character
note) will continue to be displayed to the right of 'Rx STATUS:'.

A 'NEW' Software Option - Page 3 - 'Display Inactive Rx Status' has been
added that will print each of these items in a 'subdued' color scheme to
show even inactive items that are available.

8. DISPENSING NOTE DISPLAY
The 'dispensing note' ('DNote') now displays on the bottom line of the 'Rx
INFO' area.

9. LOG OF SCRIPTS 'REPORT BUILDER' - DRUG THERAPY
Drug items, '16. Drug Therapy Class' and '17. Drug Therapy Group' have been
added. 'Class' is based on the first 2 digits of a drug item's GPI.
'Group' is based on the first 6 digits of the GPI.

10. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE SUBMISSION FOR ONE SCRIPT
IF activated (for the Utah real-time pilot program), a single dispensing
may be submitted using the <Shift F7> key when editting that dispensing.
(Key strokes from 'Rx STATUS': 2 (Edit Script) 2 (Edit Dispensing Records)
[select dispensing if more than one] <SF7>).

11. UPLOAD OF SCANNED 'HARD COPY' TO WORKSTATION
IF using a FSI Client on a Windows workstation, scanned images may be
uploaded using the new function, '4. Upload Electronic HardCopy'.
Currently, only '.gif' formatted images are supported.

'OLD' (80x24) SOFTWARE CHANGES

Thank you, and have a nice day.
