Oct 15, 2015 Update Notes

SOFTWARE CHANGES INCLUDED IN THIS UPDATE:

15 Oct 15 software changes - 132x42 character screen format

Many more programs have been updated to the larger (132x42) screen size as
well as 'cosmetic' changes for uniformity to many others.

1. LOG OF SCRIPTS - RX EXPIRY SELECT
A log of scripts selected by Rx expiry date range has been added to 'Q. Set
Stop/RX Exp Date".

2.  CREATE RX NEW-FROM-OLD - INPUT REQUIRED
A new Software Option, "New-From-Old Require Input" (page 3) has been added.
With this option set to 'Y', creation of a new script does not 'pre-load'
items from the 'old' script. Drug, quantity, doctor, etc. must be selected by
the operator.

3. SCRIPT PICK UP - DISPLAY PATIENT DETAILS
Setting the Software Option (page 9), "Pickup Requires Patient DOB" to "D"
will cause the patient's DOB, Address, City, and State to display on the
operator's screen.

4.  LOG-OF-SCRIPTS REPORT BUILDER
'21. Fill Tech' has been added to '6. Misc Items'.

5. THIRD PARTY A/R REPORT BUILDER - NCPDP ITEMS
'8. NCPDP ITEMS' has been added to this report.

6. WORKFLOW - PROMPT FOR NOTE
The operator will be promted to enter a note if the new Software Option (page
9) 'Prompt for Workflow Note' is set to 'Y'.

7.  DRUG COMPOUND - FORMULA/BATCH PRINT-OUT with REVERSE SIDE
In order to have a formula or batch print-out (by pressing the <F3> key while
viewing a formula or batch), text can be printed on the reverse side of this
sheet.

** REVERSE SIDE PRINTING WORKS *ONLY* IF YOUR PRINTER IS DUPLEX ENABLED **

This information is extracted from a text file whose name is entered in the
'7. Configuration's 'Print Reverse Side Style' field. This file which can be
created with a text editor must have a file extension of '.dcf' (drug compound
format). Special formatting such as BOLD, text item positioning, and box
outlines can also be added.

The formatting symbols also apply to the free-form text lines associated with
the formula record.

     - A line beginning with '!' will be BOLD face
     - Any line ending with '\' will have the following line added to it.
     - Any line that contains ONLY a '_' will print a <blank> line.
       Otherwise, <blank> lines are ignored.
     - If a '_' is at the beginning of a line with following charcters are
       evaluated as commands:
          _# Causes the following text to NOT BE PRINTED (comment)
          _X<number> causes printing to occur at vertical position <number>
          _Y<number> causes printing to occur at horizontal position <number>
          _H<line height> the height of a line (50 = 6 lines per inch).
             X, Y, and H values are in 300 per inch.
          _P<point size>
          _W<column width> in inches.
             Normally, these items are separated by commas. For example:
                _x300,y1200,p10,w3,h50
             causes printing to start at vertical position 1 inch (x=300),
             horizontal position 4 inches from the left (y=1200),
             using a point size of 10. The column width is 3 inches and
             the line spacing (height) is 50/300 = 6 lines per inch.
          _B
             Y = bold, T = thin, N = normal, B = black (extra bold)
          _L<landscape/portrait>
             P = portrait, L = landscape (270 deg.), l = landscape (90 deg.)
          _F<font value>
             U = universe (sans serif), T = times (serif)
          _S<style value>
             U = upright (normal), I = italic, C = condensed,
             c = condensed italic, E = expanded, O = outline,
             o = outline shaded, i = inline, S = shadowed
          _Rh/w/th/sh will draw a rectangle (picture frame) of properties:
             h = height, w = width, th = line thickness (all in 300/inch)
             sh = shading (percentage)

For the standard NOTE LINES (press <F2> from the formula screen), a 'template'
file may be entered using the format:
          _Z<filename> where '.dcf' is the implied extension.
** NOTE: a '.dcf' file cannot contain '_Z<filename>' items.

The '|' (pipe) symbol can be used to indicate a 'virtual' beginning of line.
Therefore:
          _X300,Y1200,FT,Ll|!TITLE
would cause 'TITLE' to be printed in BOLD starting at 1 inch from the top (X =
300), 4 inches from the left (Y = 1200), using the Times font, and landscape
90 degree rotation WITHOUT requiring a separate line.

IF you want to try this feature, the file 'test.dcf' has been included in this
update. In 'Configuration' (key strokes from main menu: 3 3 E 7), enter
'test' in the 'Print Reverse Side Style'.

** ALL changes to older, 80 x 25 screen format, also apply to this 132 x 42
screen format.

'OLD' (80x24) SOFTWARE CHANGES

15 Oct 15 software changes

1. CMS 1500 FORM - REMOVE '.' FROM DIAGNOSIS CODES
Some payers have required the '.'s in ICD-9 codes have them replaced by ' 's
(spaces) because the '.'s are pre-printed on the form.
To accomplish this requirement, set or add to the 'Misc. Selections' field on
the third party profile (key strokes from main menu: 3 7 1 1 <tp code>) '..'
(two periods in a row). This also has the effect of substituting ' 's
(spaces) for '.'s in dollar amounts.

2.  CMS 1500 FORM - PRINT RX# IN BOX 24J
The script number can be printed in box 24 J by setting the field, "Print
Pharmacy #'s on HCFA 24J" to a "R". This field is located at the bottom-right
on the <F5> Miscellaneous screen of the third party profile (key strokes from
main menu: 3 7 1 1 <tp code>).

3. OUT-BOUND TEXT MESSAGING - ADD CARRIERS: VIRGIN & COMCAST
    Virgin Mobile's code: VM
    Comcast Mobile's code: CC

4. SET 'AUTO REFILL' BY DATE
Now, in 'A. Rx/Pat Profile Repair' (key strokes from main menu: 3 1 A), the
ability to set patients to 'Auto Refill' by scanning a date range in the
current script file has been added as, '7. Set Auto Refill by Date'. This can
also INACTIVATE Auto Refill by setting the option to 'N'.

** NOTE: Even though patients may to set up for 'Auto Refill', this function
is ONLY AVAILABLE in the EXPANDED SCREEN FORMAT (132 x 42 characters).

Thank you, and have a nice day.
