Jan 15, 2017 Update Notes

SOFTWARE CHANGES INCLUDED IN THIS UPDATE:

15 Jan 17 software changes 132 x 42

1. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE REPORTING - COMPOUND INGREDIENTS - FRACTIONAL ITEMS
Previously, compound ingredients that have a Unit of Measure (UOM) of 'EA'
could report a quantity that was 'fractional'. For example, 'xx' quantity
tablets dissolved to make a pediatric syrup, when dispensed, could contain 'y.
y' equivalent tablets. The data receive could return an 'invalid dispensed
quantity' in this situation.

Now, this fractional quantity will return an exception code of 'FRACCQ' -
Fractional Compound Qty.

You must determine if this fractional quantity is to be transmitted at the
next higher whole number or the current whole number without the fractional
part.

To make this selection, you must edit this dispensing record's "Fractional
Reporting Adjustment'. This new item is located on the "Change Dispensed
Quantity" screen. (Key strokes from main menu: 2 <script number> 2 (Edit
Script) 2 (Edit Dispensing Record) 2 (Dispensed Qty)).

A message to the lower left of this screen will display the message:
                     COMPOUND FRACTION QTY
                             REPORT
                         Ingredient # X
                    Needs + or - Adjustment

Flashing '>' and '<' indicate the location on the screen where this
adjustment is to be made.

To select reporting of the quantity of next higher whole number, set the first
bracket to "+". To select the current whole number without the fractional
part, enter "-". The two character field to the right of this +/- field is
set by the controlled substance reporting program to the line of the
ingredient whose quantity is fractional. (This is most likely '1').
Normally, you will not be changing this ingredient line number.

After the '+' or '-' is entered, the controlled substance report generating
may be run again with no Fractional Report exceptions.

When this 'CHANGE DISPENSED QUANTITY' screen is again displayed with the '+'
or '-' set, the message to the lower left of this screen will display the
message:
                     COMPOUND FRACTION QTY
                             REPORT
                         Ingredient # X
                       Has Reporting Qty
                           Rounded UP
if '+', OR
                           Rounded Down
if '-' was selected.

Again, this function affects REPORTING of the compound ingredient quantity.
It does not affect Stock-On-Hand values.

sufficient.

- For some of you, an O/S upgrade which may require a hardware upgrade will be
needed.

message IF your O/S IS NOT capable once a day on the first logged in
