PHARMACY SOFTWARE CHANGES

1. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE REPORTING: UTAH - PICKUP ID ISSUER - QUALIFIER

UTAH STATE has requested more detail regarding the ID of the person picking up
controlled substance prescriptions.
FSI currently prompts for the ID in two formats.
The first is a THREE field from:
Enter the Pickup ID [II][QQxxxxxxxxxxxxx ][qq] Qual
The second is a TWO field format:
Enter the Pickup ID [IIQQxxxxxxxxxxxxx ][qq] Qual

Where:
II - is the issuing authority. This is typically the two
character postal code for a state or province (Canada)
QQ - is the TYPE of the ID entered as the first TWO characters
            of the ID. These are:
                ML - military
                DL - driver's license
ID - state/province issued. NOT A DRIVERS LICENSE
PR or GR - permanent resident id ('GREEN CARD')
PP - passport. In this case, the issuer should be the
                     country code (US,MX,CN), NOT a state/province code
SS - social security number. Issuer should be set to 'US'
TI or NA - tribal id (native american)
                OT - other

IF the two numeric digit 'Qual' field is used for the TYPE, then 'QQ'
does NOT need to be entered as the first two characters of the ID field.
qq - is the TYPE of of the ID. This is a numeric format that
has been supported for a few years:
                01 - military
                06 - driver's license
                02 - state/province issued. NOT A DRIVERS LICENSE
04 - permanent resident id ('GREEN CARD')
05 - passport. In this case, the issuer should be the
                     country code (US,MX,CN), NOT a state/province code
07 - social security number. Issuer should be set to 'US'
08 - tribal id (native american)
                99 - other

xxxxxxxxxxx - is the identification number

IF the last field, '[qq]' is used, then 'QQ' does NOT need to be entered
in the 'xxxxxxxxxxxxx' field.

The following four examples will RESULT in the SAME data transmitted:
Enter the Pickup ID [WY][DL98712345876 ][ ] Qual
Enter the Pickup ID [WY][98712345876 ][06] Qual

Enter the Pickup ID [WYDL98712345876 ][ ] Qual
Enter the Pickup ID [WY98712345876 ][06] Qual

2. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE REPORTING - SET TO 'CHANGE' (ASAPv4.2)
The Report Status (DSP01) generated for a report are set to 'NEW' (DSP01 =
'00'). Now, the entire group submitted can have the Status set to 'Change'
(DSP01 = '01') by pressing the <F8> key. Pressing <F8> a second time will
effect the Status to 'NEW' again.

Status of 'NEW' means the dispensing has not yet been reported. 'Change' means
it was previously reported, but needs to be corrected/updated, such as when a
pharmacist's ID was missing on the original report and has since been
corrected.

3. RELAY HEALTH - CHECK FOR TLSv1.2 CAPABILITY
Most of our customers have upgraded their server's O/S to be capable of
TLSv1.2 communication protocol.
This update will change all online switch codes from 'NDCI' to the TLSv1.2
capable 'RELH' switch code IF your server is capable.

IF NOT, you will receive a notification that your server is not capable.

4. MANUFACTURER'S CODE AFTER TRADE NAME ON LABEL - 'GENERIC FOR'
A Sofware Option to print the drug manufacturer's code after the trade name in
the 'Generic for . . .' item of a label has been added.

    LABEL MAINTENANCE (laser or thermal/Zebra)
'2. Script Items' - '19. Generic For Message', now has a 'Variant'
that when set to 'M' will append the trade's manufacturer code
on to the 'Gen. for' message.

    'GENERAL PURPOSE' (not printer specific)
Software Option - Label Functions, now has
           'MFG on Trade Label (Gen.For)'
that when set to 'Y' will append the trade's manufacturer code
on to the 'Gen. for' message.

These enhancements should satisfy the CALIFORNIA LABEL REQUIREMENT that is
effective 01 JULY 17.

5. DRUG COMPOUNDS - BATCH RECORD MEASURED QUANTITIES
The batch record (where lot#s and expiry dates are stored) now has the
capability to store 'measured quantities'.

Another column has been added to the right of ingredient 'Exp.Date's, labeled
'Meas. Qty'. This information is not transmitted or (currently) printed on
any report. The whole batch quantity can be printed on a laser label using
VARIANT = 'A' (actual) on drug item '23. Mixture Ingred(Table w/Lot#,Exp)'.
IF the variant is set to 'a', the 'per unit' quantity will print.

6. REPORT BUILDER - LOG OF SCRIPTS
Script Item, '46. First Disp Date' has been added to this program.
