PHARMACY SYSTEM SOFTWARE CHANGES

1. ANDROID PAD SIGNATURE CAPTURE – EXPANDED DEVICE CAPABILITY
The program that captures signatures from Android devices has been enhanced to
allow more devices.

2. LASER LABELS – PORTRAIT/LANDSCAPE
It is now possible to configure a label format as Landscape. Use the ‘Q.
Offset/General Setup’ to set the new, ‘Portrait Or Landscape’ field to ‘L’.
Previously, ALL the items of the label would individually need to be set to
Landscape.

3. LOG OF SCRIPTS – DAYS SUPPLY RANGE
Qualification by ‘Days Supply Range’ has been added to ‘d. Set Special’.

4. DRUG COMPOUND BATCHES – START FROM DIFFERENT SCRIPT’S BATCH
The ability to copy another script’s batch as a start of a new script’s batch
has been added. When the ‘Copy Batch from’ message displays, in addition to
selecting Last batch or Drug record batch, there will be a field for ‘Rx#’.

If you are unsure which batch to use (Last, Drug, Formula, or Rx#), set the
‘View’ field (at the far right) to ‘Y’ to display (no changes will be made)
what that batch record contains before processing the script using the
selected batch starting record.

5. DRUG RECORD – ‘X OF X’ LABEL ITEM (COMPOUNDED ITEMS)
Previoulsy, only those drug items with SPECIAL CASE of ‘IV’, ‘RTU’, ‘TPN’, or
‘PLATE’ would invoke the ‘X of X’ print label options. Now, setting “‘X of X’
Label Item” to “Y” on the <F2> Miscellaneous screen (in Drug Record
Maintenance) will have the same effect.

6. DRUG RECORD – DO NOT SUBSTITUE (ELECTRONIC ORDERING)
Drug records may be set to ‘Do Not Substitute (order)’ by setting this field
to ‘Y’ on the <F2> Miscellaneous screen. This indication will be sent to drug
wholesaler during order transmission. WARNING: Not all wholesalers may
recognize this ANSI X12 Standard indication.

7. LASER/THERMAL LABELS – PATIENT PREFERRED CONTACT METHOD ADDED
Patient Item ’37 Preferred Contact Method’ has been added. ‘Call’, ‘Email’,
or ‘Text’ will be printed according to what is stored in the patient’s
profile. If the VARIANT is set to ‘A’, abbreviations will be printed: CWR,
EWR, or TWR, respectively.

8. SCRIPT PROCESSING – PROMPT FOR DELIVERY METHOD
Software Options – Page 3 – can be configured to ‘Prompt for Delivery Method’
when set to ‘Y’ will prompt for a delivery method when processing a new or
refill script: (P,D,M) Pickup, Deliver, Mail. This information can be printed
on a laser label (Script Item ’32. Status Flags’ – Variant = ‘D’).
