FSI Pharmacy Management System Software

Software Changes

Autorefill
The Autorefill option ‘List Rx’s with no Refills and would be due in nn days’ now checks the range from today to the specified number of days instead of just the specified day. This allows refills in the range of days to be captured.

Surescripts Refill Requests
Per Surescripts requirement, the option was put back in the software to only allow refill requests to be sent to the same doctor location that the original NEWRX prescription was received from. Refill requests sent to a different doctor location will be rejected by Surescripts.

Maximum Fair Price
A Maximum Fair Price (MFP) bracket was added to drug maintenance to be able to store the Maximum Fair Price unit amount for qualified drug NDC’s for the Medicare reimbursement program. For now, the MFP unit amount will need to be entered manually in drug record. Pharmacy systems should also make sure to set the Central Systems Option (3,1,N,2,Enter) ‘Apply Medispan WAC to’ either M or m to store the WAC price in the drug as received from Medispan. The WAC price is used in calculating the expected Medicare reimbursement amount. When billing medicare plans (marked in the insurance company maintenance F5 Page 2 screen), the ‘Mcare Refund’ amount will be displayed on the claim response screen if the drug has the WAC and MFP price fields set and if the insurance is marked as a Medicare Part D plan.

DTMS PAR Options
The DTMS PAR (patient allergy) options have been enhanced to allow selecting a patient allergy by drug, instead of just by allergy class or ingredient. The Add by Drug option is now listed as option 4.
