When you use our Android Signature Pad application (the “App”), we appreciate that you are trusting us with your personal information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. 1. ANDROID PERMISSIONS REQUIRED TO USE THE APP

The application does require the use of some permissions in order to function correctly:

  • Phone – always required – This allows the application to read the device’s unique identifier (the “Android ID”). This Android ID is only transmitted to your pharmacy’s server within your own network. The server then only uses this Android ID to license and identify the device when the device communicates with your pharmacy’s server. The Android ID is never transmitted to Foundation Systems Inc or any others.
  • Location Only while using the app – always required – This allows the application read the device’s current WiFi SSID (the “SSID”). The SSID is only ever stored in the application is never transmitted anywhere. Upon successfully licensing the App, the SSID is stored securely inside the App. Then whenever communication with the pharmacy’s server is requested, the App compares the stored SSID with the current WiFi SSID, if applicable. The App then uses this comparison to determine if the App should use the LAN/local connection information or the WAN/internet connection information when attempting to communicate with the pharmacy’s server.
  • Location All the Time – optional – This is only required if the application is configured to communicate with the pharmacy’s server periodically in the background. The information accessed with this permission and how the information is handled is identical to the above statement about the Location Only while using the app access.

Neither the Android ID or the SSID is ever collected by or sent to Foundation Systems Inc.

2. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

Foundation Systems Inc only collects basic usage information to use in analytical analysis of how our customers use the App. This provides us information necessary to evaluate and improve the App. This information does not include any identifiable personal information about you, the device in use, and any patient information contained within the App.

3. WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH ANYONE?

The information collected will only be shared in the following manner:

  • Legitimage Interest: We may process your data when it is reasonable necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).
  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

4. IS YOUR INFORMATION TANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY

Our servers are located in the United States. Google and other analytic gathering systems may transfer and store your data on international servers but Foundation Systems Inc will only store any gathered information on our servers.

5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than 90 days.

6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE

In Short:  We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security, and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our App is at your own risk. You should only access the App within a secure environment.

7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM OR ABOUT MINORS

No, we do not. The App is only meant to be used by pharmacy staff members. Minors and general public use of the application is prohibited.

8. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date and the updated version will be effected as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
