BOARD AND CARE – FORMAT FILE NAME SELECTIONS – ADDED FUNCTIONS

  • The “T. Change Format File Name” now has the ability to select formats
    based on the number of medication blocks, portrait or landscape, whether it
    has a reverse side format, and the printer type (Forms, Report, or Zebra/
    thermal).
  • The “Q. Offset/General Setup” now supports the selection of COLOR.
  • Direction PURPOSES have been added as Script Items, “45. Sig Purposes”,
    “46. Direction Purposes (Language as Necessary), and “47. English Direction
    Purposes”.
  • Medication Block Filled Rectangles can now be conditionally printed based
    on administration times (AM, MD, PM, HS). If an administration time of a
    script corresponds to the ‘Var’ field of ‘Med Block Filled Rectangles’, the
    rectangle will be printed. In this way, only the administration times that are
    active for a script will be ‘highlighted’ by the filled rectangle. It is
    recommended that the percentage fill is 50% or less so any printing in the
    same area as the rectangle will be visible.
    Valid variants are:
    ‘AM’ corresponding to admin time 1.
    ‘MD’ corresponding to admin time 2.
    ‘PM’ corresponding to admin time 3.
    ‘HS’ corresponding to admin time 4.
  1. LASER/THERMAL ‘FOLLOWING’ LABELS INCREASED
    The number of label ‘following’ formats has been increased from 4 to 8. A
    limit is set in case a prior label format is used as a ‘following’ format,
    thus preventing ‘endless’ label printing.
  2. DRUG IMPRINT – SKIP IMPRINT PER INDIVIDUAL DRUG ITEM
    Sometimes, the imprint associated with a drug item is incorrect. Normally,
    this is due to the “Imprint ID #” not specified correctly on the MediSpan
    screen. If setting this option correctly is not available (for an unknown
    reason), set the new ‘Imprint Skip’ = ‘Y’ until a ‘real’ solution can be
    found. This item is also located on the MediSpan screen.
