MediSpan Drug Update
Now being implemented, better tracking of ‘hot fixes’. We are working on this as it has been recognized as an ongoing issue. What this means to you, after an update, you no longer have to call to have a program put back so something will work again.
1. LEGACY MEDI-SPAN PRODUCTS END-OF-LIFE
In this update, the Legacy products of Aller-Chek, Cross-Chek, Patient Consultation Messages (PCM), Drug Disease, Patient Drug Education (PDE), and DTMS version 1 will be indicated as expiring and EXPIRED. Our hope is that all of FSI’s customers will have already migrated to the new
Medi-Span products.
REPLACEMENTS:
AC – Aller-Chek is replaced by DTMS PAR. S/W Options, Page 12: Set ‘Use AllerChek/PAR System’ = ‘P’ CC – Cross-Chek is replaced by DTMS version 2.
DTMSv1 – DTMS version 1 is replaced by DTMS version 2. S/W Options, Page 12: Set ‘Use CrossChek/DTMS Int System’ = ‘2’.
PDE – Patient Drug Education is replaced by Integrated Patient Education Leaflets. S/W Options, Page 13: Set ‘Pat. Drug Education Installed’
NO REPLACEMENTS for:
PCM – Patient Consultation was replaced by PDE years ago.
DD – Drug Disease, FSI is waiting to see if this product was widely used. Medi-Span’sreplacement is really difficult to use, in our estimation.
DC – Dose Check FSI is waiting to see if this product was widely used. Medi-Span’s replacement is really difficult to use, in our estimation.
2. ERX – VOUCHER AMOUNTS PAID
Now when a voucher paid amount is detected, its value will be stored with the dispensing record just below the ‘Total TP A/R’ amount. This item may also be printed in the ‘5. Dollar/Price Items’, ’19. Voucher Amount’ for laser and Zebra/thermal formats.
3. SHIPPING – PICKUP ID QUALIFIER
In addition to setting a pickup ID when processing a delivery, the pickup ID qualifier may be set. For Florida, ’99’ may be appropriate.
FSI Legacy Updates:
As of July 01, 2021, the FSI Legacy version is no longer supported and will no longer function.
